Educational Environment and Renewable Energy: An Example from Maqellara

On February 7, 2024, at the 9-year school in Maqellara, students participated in an environmental education hour about pollution and human impact on the environment. This activity provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on the importance of environmental protection and to identify innovative solutions to environmental challenges.

A special moment during the environmental education hour was the construction of wind turbine models from paper material. Students enthusiastically and creatively worked to create their mini turbines, demonstrating their desire to experiment with sustainable solutions for energy production.

Through this activity, the distinction between fossil fuels and renewable energy was emphasized. Students understood that renewable energies, such as wind and solar energy, offer a cleaner and more sustainable solution for the environment compared to traditional sources. They were encouraged to reflect on their role in energy usage and conservation in their daily lives.
