Chronicle from the Voice of America
Gathered together environmentalists and residents of the area, in cooperation with the German association RiverWatch, demand the declaration of Vjosa National Park. They intend to block plans for hydropower projects on the river but leave it free to develop ecotourism.
Created on 15th of December 2014 as a joint initiative of professors of the Department of Biology of the Tirana University and the “Save the Blue Heart of Europe” team in Albania.
