24 students from the “Xhile Liçi” Middle School participated in an environmental education session on ecological corridors, organized within the framework of the ISCCA project. This activity aimed to raise awareness among young students about the importance of maintaining connectivity between natural habitats and protecting wildlife.

The session began with a presentation on ecological corridors, where students learned through practical examples how human activities such as construction, deforestation, and infrastructure development can fragment habitats and restrict the movement of wild species.
Students then took part in educational games that encouraged reflection on their relationship with nature. Through the “Tree of Life” activity, they shared thoughts and messages expressing their love for the environment and ideas for protecting it. In the “Ecological Corridors” game, students experienced firsthand how these corridors help wildlife migrate safely across human-made barriers.
The activity aimed to inspire students to become conscious stewards of the environment, strengthening their sense of responsibility towards nature and their community. This educational session was conducted as part of the “Sustainable Management of Ecological Corridors in the Polis-Valamarë-Rungajë-Moravë-Gramoz CCA – ISCCA” project’s ongoing efforts to promote the concept of ecological corridors and their essential role in maintaining biodiversity in Albania.
