The protest of kayakers takes place in Vjosa with the motive “Protect the Blue Heart of Europe”.
“We address the decision-makers because they are the people who must have a different vision for the development of the area and for the protection of nature. The different vision for us means the creation of a clear master plan related to energy production where the areas will be defined where dams can be built and where not for reasons of natural, social, economic values, etc.. Also the development of the area through sustainable development, through ecotourism, because Vjosa has the potential to develop differently”, says Olsi Nika, director of the EcoAlbania association in Albania.
