Educational Session with students of “Jonuz Çarçiu” Middle and High School in Gjergjovinë, Gramsh

On 12 March 2026, an educational session was held at “Jonuz Çarçiu” middle and high school in Gjergjovinë, Gramsh, with students from grades 1–5, within the framework of the ISCCA Project, focusing on raising awareness about biodiversity and the role of ecological corridors.

The activity began with a short presentation, adapted to the students’ age group, on the concept of ecological corridors and the importance of biodiversity for ecosystem functioning. This was followed by a practical group activity, where students worked on building food chains and food webs.

Organized into groups, the students created posters by selecting different species and linking them according to feeding relationships. Starting from simple food chains, they gradually developed a complete food web, gaining a better understanding of the interdependence among organisms within an ecosystem.

The activity aimed to strengthen students’ basic understanding of ecological processes through interactive and creative methods, while also fostering their interest in nature and its conservation, in line with the objectives of the ISCCA Project to increase awareness and engagement of local communities.
