Call for Tender: Ecosystem Services Expert

EcoAlbania – Center for the Protection of Natural Ecosystems in Albania invites qualified experts to submit their applications for the position of Ecosystem Services Expert, in the framework of the project “PAMANCA – Protected Areas Matter: Advocating for Nature Conservation in Albania”, implemented by EcoAlbania in partnership with ResPublica and the Free Thought Forum (FML), with the financial support of the European Union. 

The expert will support the preparation of the State of Conservation Reports for 2026 and 2027 by providing a structured and evidence-based assessment of ecosystem services in five targeted protected areas: Butrint National Park, Shebenik-Jabllanicë National Park, Lura–Mali i Dejës National Park, Buna River–Velipoja Protected Landscape, and Pishë Poro–Nartë Protected Landscape. 

The assignment will include the identification and assessment of key ecosystem services, analysis of their ecological, social and economic importance, assessment of trends and pressures affecting their provision, and, where feasible, indicative valuation of selected ecosystem services. The findings will contribute directly to the State of Conservation Reports and related communication, advocacy and policy outputs. 

The assignment is expected to run from 14 September 2026 to 14 July 2027, with a total estimated level of effort of 40 working days
