Cleaning Action, Planting, and Community Engagement at “Xhile Liçi” School in Skënderbegas, Gramsh

On 13 March 2026, a cleaning activity and seedling-planting event were held at “Xhile Liçi” Middle and High School in Skënderbegas, Gramsh, with participation from the entire school, within the framework of the ISCCA Project.

As one if the areas most affected by wildfires during the previous summer, the activity aimed to contribute to environmental restoration and raise students’ awareness about the importance of nature protection. In this context, 50 seedlings were donated to the school, of which three were planted symbolically during the activity as a sign of shared commitment to restoring the area.

Following the planting, students and school staff took part in a cleanup in the surrounding areas, demonstrating strong engagement and responsibility for environmental care.

Additionally, as part of the Summer Day celebrations, the students had organized a small fair featuring handmade items and products prepared by them. Participation in this activity created a warm and collaborative atmosphere, linking environmental action with local traditions and community life.

Overall, the activity combined practical environmental interventions with awareness-raising and active community involvement, in line with the objectives of the ISCCA Project.
