Bishan, Vlorë, February 12th, 2024. In an endeavor to raise awareness and educate students on the crucial importance of environmental preservation and biodiversity, the students of “Kafil Malaj” school in Bishan engaged in an environmental education hour dedicated to the challenges of environmental conservation, with a particular focus on assessing noise pollution levels.
During this activity, students delved deeply into the environmental challenges we face, focusing on the detrimental effects of noise pollution. They recognized that while minor disturbances may cause concerns for all, the repercussions for sensitive ecosystems, such as forests, can be far-reaching.
A pivotal aspect of this activity involved utilizing specialized equipment to measure noise levels. Equipped with these devices, students conducted assessments in various settings, gaining firsthand experience in understanding the impact of noise on the environment and the wildlife inhabiting these areas.
The results of their measurements revealed alarmingly high noise levels, particularly in urbanized regions. Motivated by these findings, students are now inspired to take proactive measures to ameliorate the situation.
Through education and action, we strive for a sustainable future for our environment and all its inhabitants!
