Meeting with local community of Topojan

In continuation to the tour of meetings with the local communities that are affected by the hydropower developments in Albania – part of the “Give voice to river protection” project – this week we will have a meeting with the residents of the Topojan village in Kukës.

Join us in an awareness meeting for the protection of the Gorge of Vanave.

Currently, about 10 HPPs have been built in the area of the Natural Park “Korab-Koritnik” and KKT has approved the construction of 5 other HPPs, this time inside the park, in two of the most beautiful areas in Albania; Topojani and Shishtaveci.

These HPPs are expected to take the water from the streams in the beautiful Shishtavec valley, which is known for its beauty in all seasons.
