Prof. Aleko Miho

Aleko is member of the academic staff in Department of Biology, FNS, UT. Teaching activity deals with General Botany, Environmental Bio-monitoring, Writing a Research Paper, Best Management Practices in Plant Conservation. His main research field is taxonomy and ecology of microscopic algae of Albanian natural brackish and freshwaters, and also nature biomonitoring and conservation. He has a long experience on the conservation of natural ecosystems. Supporter of Albanian environmental movement since 1991; promotor of the establishment of protected areas in Ohrid & Prespa. Actually is chairman of EcoAlbania, supporting the “Save the Blue Heart of Europe” Campaign.
